Battery-Powered Induction Installation

A battery-equipped induction range plugs into the outlet you already have. No panel upgrade, no electrician, no trenching a new 240V circuit across the house.

120V Battery Induction

Full Induction On
A Standard Outlet

The reason most Bay Area kitchens never went induction is the circuit. A conventional induction range wants 240V and 40 to 50 amps, and in an older home that frequently means a panel upgrade on top of the rewire — thousands of dollars before the appliance is even delivered.

Battery-equipped ranges solve it differently. An onboard battery charges slowly from a normal 120V household outlet and discharges fast when you cook, so you get full induction power without a new circuit. Copper's 30" Charlie is the model we install most: standard plug, no 240V rewiring, and enough stored power to keep cooking through an outage.

  • Existing 120V outlet load-checked
  • No new circuit or panel upgrade
  • Old gas range removed and line capped
  • Delivery route measured for the weight
  • Levelled and anti-tip anchored
  • Battery charged and app set up with you

What Sets Us Apart

Why Bay Area Homeowners
Choose Bay Area Appliance

No 240V Rewiring

Plugs into a standard 120V outlet, so there is no electrician, no new circuit and no panel upgrade to pay for.

Cooks Through Outages

The onboard battery holds enough charge to keep cooking when the power goes out — useful in PSPS season.

Gas Handled Too

We disconnect and remove the gas range, then cap and leak-test the line as part of the same visit.

Set Up With You

We charge it, run the elements and the oven, and walk you through the controls and the app before we go.

Our Process

Our Battery-Powered Induction Process

01

Check The Outlet

We confirm the existing 120V receptacle and what else shares its circuit, so the range charges as designed.

02

Remove & Cap

The gas range comes out, the line is shut, capped and leak-tested, and the old unit leaves with us.

03

Set & Anchor

The range is walked in on protection, levelled flush with the counter, and anchored to its anti-tip bracket.

04

Charge & Demonstrate

We start the first charge, run every element and the oven, and set up the app with you.

FAQs

Battery-Powered Induction Questions

Does a battery induction range really run on a normal outlet?

Yes. The battery charges gradually at 120V and discharges fast while you cook, which is how it delivers full induction power without a 240V circuit.

How much does skipping the rewire save?

It depends on your panel and the run, but a 240V circuit plus a panel upgrade in an older Bay Area home commonly lands in the thousands. On a plug-in model none of that is needed.

Can it still cook if the power goes out?

That is one of the main reasons people buy them. The onboard battery holds enough charge for several meals with the grid down.

Which battery ranges do you install?

We install Copper's 30" Charlie most often, and we work with appliance vendors throughout the Bay Area on the rest of the 120V plug-in category as it grows.

We had a full Sub-Zero and Wolf package going into a new kitchen in Palo Alto and I was dreading install week. These guys measured everything two weeks before delivery, told our cabinet maker about a half inch problem with the refrigerator opening, and it got fixed before the appliances even shipped. Install day took one afternoon and everything worked. Genuinely the smoothest part of the entire remodel.

Hood install in a Berkeley Craftsman where the duct route was genuinely awkward. They ran rigid duct instead of the flex the previous quote wanted to use, and the difference in noise and airflow is enormous. It actually pulls steam now.

Wine column in Santa Rosa. Levelled it in both directions, ran both zones to temperature and told us to wait twelve hours before loading bottles. That kind of advice is why I would use them again.

Replaced a 20 year old cooktop with an induction unit and needed the electrical checked first. They looked at the panel, told me exactly what circuit I needed, and came back after the electrician finished. No upselling, no drama. The cutout was perfect and they cleaned the counter before leaving.

Miele built-in coffee unit plumbed into our kitchen island in Cupertino. They left enough slack in the line that the machine slides out for descaling, which our previous installer had not done on the old one. Small detail, huge difference.

Double wall ovens into a stacked cabinet in Fremont. They checked the cabinet could take the weight and added support before lifting anything. The doors line up perfectly and it runs true to temperature.

Third floor condo in San Francisco with a freight elevator window of two hours. They handled the building paperwork, showed up early, and had the refrigerator in and running with time to spare. If you live in a building with rules, these are the people you want.

Panel-ready dishwasher in Burlingame. The reveals match the cabinets exactly, which sounds like a small thing until you have seen one installed badly. They also ran a full cycle and watched the connections before signing off.

Micro-hood replacement in San Mateo. They noticed the previous installer had never rotated the blower, so it had been recirculating into the kitchen for years instead of venting outside. Fixed in ten minutes. Night and day difference.
