A chimney hood is a piece of furniture as much as an appliance. If the flue is a degree off plumb against a tall wall, everyone sees it forever.
Chimney Hoods
Chimney hoods carry a visible flue extension from the canopy to the ceiling, so the install has to be plumb in two directions and the telescopic section has to be cut to your exact ceiling height. On a nine or ten foot wall there is no hiding a lean, and there is no hiding a gap at the top either.
We locate and add blocking for the canopy load, set the mounting height off your cooktop, run rigid duct up inside the flue, then trim and set the upper chimney section so it closes tight to the ceiling. Sloped and vaulted ceilings get the correct adapter rather than a caulk line.

Yes. It needs the manufacturer's sloped-ceiling adapter, cut to your actual roof pitch, so the flue still reads plumb against the wall.
